Managing Small Fiber Neuropathy, Sjogren's, Hashimoto's

Hello, I have a Neurologist, I'm looking for a Rumatologist is there any criteria? I saw 2 but they said they did not have to see me anymore. My Primay Care said her Patients have never experienced that. She gave a name I called and I have to wait months for an appointment. Hard time eating, jaw seems a bit stiff when eating and the side side effects, hands dropping things.
Thank You!

My tips for SFN are compression socks, neuropathy and lidocaine creams/patches, voltaren gel for inflammation, magnesium and alpha Lipoic acid/acetyl l carnitine supplements, duloxetine Rx, increase circulation as much as possible to encourage oxygenated blood flow, check vitamin deficiencies and toxicities via bloodwork and supplement as needed, reduce and eliminate toxins/caffeine/smoking and alcohol.

my neuropathy and lightheadedness started about a year ago. Doctor put me on Duloxetine three weeks ago. So far it has done nothing to help. Taking a B12 supplement for several months now along with 500 MG of glutathione and NAC ( N acytle cystine). Have a nerve test scheduled for early Feb. I could deal with the neuropathy pain but the lightheadedness is really getting me down.

I hear you on the lightheartedness, dizziness, and balance issues caused by neuropathy. It is really hard to accept and deal with. Neuropathy affects blood flow and senses in ways that make us at risk for falling which really concerns me due to spine/spinal cord injury. Duloxetine can take 4-8 weeks to feel the full effects so it may take more time for you. I have really needed to adapt to my new normal at the age of 55. I am not sure what it will be like in my 60s and 70s+ and hope it doesn’t get worse. I want to minimize and eliminate toxins like alcohol as much as possible since it affects our nervous systems. Limiting exposures to viruses would be best and I am avoiding anymore covid vaccines since there is a link to endothelial cells, cardiovascular health and nervous system.

i'll give the duloxetine more time to work as you noted. Sorry this affliction has hit you at the young age of 55, I'm ten years older. Our new normal ain't much fun.
