Sadly @tomy , this is more common than I like to think. You can call your insurance company directly and ask if it has been approved yet. When my husband was due to start revlomid in the beginning of his MM journey, the insurance company kept saying it was approved and the doctors office kept saying they didn’t have approval yet. It was so frustrating, I just kept asking what is the holdup. It did get figured out, because we were trying to be patient, my husband was 2 months past his “start date”. I would not recommend this approach, keep calling and keep asking.
May I ask what medicine you were due to start?

Bortezomib, Lenalidomide, Dexamethasone, Daratumumab

Got my revlamid today!

I agree. As they say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. BCBS has nurse specialists that reached out to us to help with any questions and had great advice. I'm not sure how many other companies provide this service. We got approval again in a few days, but I was on the phone daily. Best of luck. Hope you get your approval soon! It's frustrating to have to delay. 😢
