Saw haematologist all good. I still have essential thrombocythemia. Tests show slight scaring of the bone marrow, which indicates a change in the bone marrow, which is early signs of myelofibrosis, nothing to worry about at this time, as long as platelets are under control all good. Apparently I should have been on this tablet 16 years ago not the Agralyn that I had been on. So more blood tests next week and see if platelets have gone down. Treatment plan is now 1xhydrea and 1 aspirin per day, plus all diabetic tablets. Fingers crossed next blood tests show big drop in numbers. 🤞🤞

Say, hydrea is great, but it may take a while to bring your platelet count down. Just know every dose is helping you.

lynnebgraham, Don't be discouraged if it takes a while to bring the platelets down. Consistency with Hydrea and aspirin are important and remember to be patient when following your platelet numbers. Sounds like getting a new oncologist was a good idea.
