Help with kidney disease

Hi! Wanted to know what to do if calcium high and sensipar no longer working. Any other ideas for help this problem?

My Neph put me on Cholecalciferol (vitamin 3D) everyday. One capsule a day. My PTH came down significantly. My parathyroid levels were over 300, now around 200 and coming down.

What's your VD3 dosage?

.25 MCG daily. My Neph said if I didn't want to take a prescription, I should take 2000 IU a day. I took the prescription, small tablets and easy to remember.

Dr Norman removed the one gland that had a tumor. That was in 2008.

Now I have Secondary hyperparathyroid disease. My calcium levels are going DOWN along with my vitamin D level. This is messing with my kidneys.

Thyroid, parathyroid and kidney (also diabetes) issues oh my! I’m so grateful that I have an endocrinologist and a nephrologist who work together to monitor labs and can collaborate on medications, supplements, treatments that are in my best interests. Otherwise it would be overwhelming!
