I had a heart attack in 2021, completely a surprise, 95% blockage in the LAD (widow maker). I used Atavorastatin only about 3 months, with muscle aches. Took myself off of it. Went almost a year before my son told me about Zetia. Now my HDL is in the 60’s and LDL in the 60’s, total cholesterol 140. My triglycerides have always been good (60’s).
My doctor has me on Plavix instead of baby aspirin and now I don’t bleed at the drop of a hat. He also has me on Nexlotol. I’ve had my second stent put in this year and have several more blockages. In my opinion, statins are not good and there are other options.
