Hello @den01, and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect.
It's good to have you here.
Mayo Connect is a warm and caring online community of patients, care givers and other interested people. This is a place to find and share information, but Connect should not be used for medical advice or in place of your doctor. That being said, have you had a chance to look around here on Connect?
I found this online from the American College of Cardiology, and it has some good information about gradients and HOCM:
https://www.acc.org/latest-in-cardiology/articles/2018/04/20/08/41/imaging-in-hypertrophic-cardiomyopathy
Here is another informative article from the Mayo Clinic:

And for more reading here is the link to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association:

With a gradient that high, it is good you see a center of excellence specialist next week. I would make a list of questions you have and read as much as you can to educated yourself about this condition. Being educated about what you have will allow you to participate in your care and be your own best advocate.
It is scary first learning you have this condition. Have you had a chance to learn about it?
Do you have a healthy and active life style otherwise?
Has HOCM limited you in some ways?

Thank you for the articles. I will read them all. I can't do much without being SOB and having chest heaviness. I am diabetic but is controlled by medication, no insulin. I'm very nervous and scared about this new diagnosis. I'm 65.
