MDS isn’t that related to leukemia blood cancer?

About 30% of MDS patients develop AML regardless of the type of MDS they have. In my case myeloblasts are elevated but not dangerously high yet. Right now, I am considered low risk for developing AML. When my disease changes, I have another BMB because they are keeping an eye on the blasts.

Have you found any supplements or drugs that improves your level of fatigue? I’m early in the onset of MDS and my hemoglobin is in mid 11’s, and I’ve been told I am not yet a candidate for drugs or chemo or bone marrow transplant. But my fatigue can be debilitating.

No, I haven't. When I was in the early stages, and my Hemoglobin was near normal, the Dr's told me they were surprised I had fatigue. At least 1 told me, the fatigue had to be from something else. Since then, I have had my heart and lungs checked. I do not have diabetes. Don't be surprised if you hear the same thing.
