Years after rectal cancer surgery, experiencing constipation: Normal?
Two yearss after having a rectal cancer operation im getting constipated alot,is this normal or may the cancer be returning

Have you used Metamucil, prunes, raisins, everything you can put in your body to bring results of smooth elimination?
I used prunes with good results, Metamucil not so much. But since I’ve had chronic constipation (then diarrhea) for last 9 yrs, gastroenterologist started me on Amitiza which has been very effective so far normalizing bowels.
