CEA test: Just starting the diagnostic testing phase: Waiting is hard

Posted by dlupinacci28 @dlupinacci28, Mar 26, 2023

Just starting the testing journey
I had a cat scan that showed bilateral adrenal tumors, multiple nodules in the peri pancreas and Peri portal lymph’s
I had more blood work done few days ago, waiting on results and I’m going for a MRI this week
I’m so worried 😟

I’m reading prior blood work results from my hemotologist ( I have lupus) from last week,
Which was all good expect one a CEA test
That was high
Of course I’m goggling , is there any information you can share on this

That is great that you are feeling well, @gail570. Will you post again after your CT?

I had colon cancer surgery and a bag for 7 months. Had it reversed and colonoscopy was good and blood test in June was 5.6 for CEA. Last week all blood test were normal but CEA was 5.8. Should I be concerned. Have a CT scan for 1/7/25.. Any response from anyone?

Do have another question. I had my colostomy bag reversed in June, 24. I just wondered if my poops are like round turds. Is that caused my diet. Not enough fiber? I do pass gas to and seem to seem to defecate not to long after a meal…any input would be helpful…thanks

Sometimes my pop in really mushy and a lot of times it is hard. What a subject, lol. I do eat a lot of cheese though.
