Anyone taken Evenity (romosozumab) for Osteoporosis?
Has anyone taken Evenity? I understand it’s only been on the market for a little over a year. I’m hoping it will help with my severe osteoporosis. Any information is helpful.

I also am doing the evenity shots.. coming up on Jan 6 my 3rd set.. so far so good.. I do get headaches once in awhile and I do feel more tired ..
I’ve done prolia, reclast and different oral meds but nothing seems to make a difference. So hopefully this will do the trick.
Good luck to you. 🙏🏻hopefully you have no side effects
I did 12 months of Evenity. The only side effect I had was achyness and fatigue after first injections. That only lasted a day. I had good results from Evenity and I am now on Reclast.
I'm on Forteo as a short term measure because I already did the full 24 months in 2016 with good results. I'm suppose to be on Evenity, but waiting for approval from my insurance. Now I'm debating to just take my chances and stay on Forteo as hearing so many concerns now on the Evenity. It is such an unknown journey. My T score is -3.5 so had to be addressed. I guess if you have a bad reaction to Evenity, you can look at Forteo as an option? I scared too, but try to remember there are so many others taking Evenity with no side effects and good results. Best of luck to you : )
Where is your pain? What prompted you to have an EKG and did your cardiologist have any insights? I am considering Evenity but am scared of side effects. Thanks.
@ripley I have afib periodically and cardiologists had no problem with me taking Evenity.
I was scared to do the evenity too like yours mine is at a severe level too..last dexa showed -3.9
Scary .. when I go to the infusion center to get my shots the nurses tell me they have seen great results with evenity..
I do get more tired and I do get some headaches.
My dr said that we had to something bc of high risk of hip and back fractures..
I’ve already broke my wrist and my foot..
if you don’t have history of heart attack or stroke I would definitely recommend it… I feel it will be well worth it.
I wish you well
Thank you for sharing : ). That is actually very helpful and I appreciate it because it gives me hope! This has been a great place for getting a lot of information that doctors don't seem to share.
I don't know how to start a new discussion, but would love to hear from people who are doing Forteo for a second time, or past the 24 month period. Age and bone density scores would also be helpful. I am 67 with hip T score of -3.5 (spine can no longer be read due to previous fractures ) Forteo 24 month course in 2016. Currently just starting 3rd month of generic brand of Forteo, Teva-teriparatide. Have already had improvement with less lower back pain.
