Any risks for pre-surgery epidural injection?

I had a' laminectmy'/'decompression' procedure five years ago at Mayo which was 100% sucessful in eliminating my sciatica. However I was informed that I hed 'arthiritus' in my lower back and that procedure would not correct that problem. Now I am experiencing lower back pain , I have had epidural injections in the past but am not sure if I can have them after the procedure. Any suggestions on the pain relief? I had hopes that some new treatments have come down the 'boardwalk' since then.

I’ll give one that I’m experiencing now. After injections I was nearly blind, diagnosed and treated for pressure increases in both eyes. After five months of prednisone drops off and on, I still can’t read or drive well.

I have had more epidurals in my spine then I can count.
I have also had multiple radio frequency injections to burn the nerves. Both type of procedures were done by board certified anesthesiologist Dr. V. Johnson @ NY Spine & Pain.
Yes there are risks in the house when dealing with pain management, but for me I felt I had to trust my doctor to help alleviate all of that horrible pain in both my lumbar and cervical spine. I thank God everyday 🙏 for his excellent Skill performing these outpatient procedures!! My pain finally has gone down from 10+, to a 2 on great days; 5-8 tops after a few months & too much bending, and housework.
I don't know what I would do without seeing Jenna Edlin, PA who is his diagnostician who listens very carefully to my symptoms, after viewing my MRI's.
My suggestion don't be afraid just have faith in your doctor knowing he has your best interest at heart. GO CHIEFS DR J. 🤗👏

HELP PLEASE! I got an epidural spine injection and my lower back L4 and L5. At night time I get cold arms and thighs with cold chills and slight body aches. It’s been a week so far with these symptoms, it’s weird I don’t get them during the day just at night. I get dry mouth all day too, how long would these symptoms last I read it supposed to be two days and other places 2 to 3 weeks, can’t get a straight answer. My legs feel slightly weak and slight discomfort, but at night time I feel really sick for about 5 mins and sometimes sick all night. Hot flashes too, any idea if this is a serious concern or just side effects that will go away ?
