Does anyone experience rib pain with their osteoporosis
I have osteoporosis and i experience rib pain and sometimes popped cartlidge. I’m doing the evenity shots but this was going on before the shots. Does anyone else have rib pain with their osteoporosis?

Thank you
My dr has suggested doing laser treatments on my ribs… I’ve been there 3 times and it is helping.. it won’t cure it right away but it will help heal it .. after I’m healed up ( 6 weeks) I’m going to have injections.. they do a block so your numb and with the ultra sound they can see the cartilage that’s damaged or maybe a tear.. and they will do and injection at the site.. so I am considering it… just wanted to give you an update.. in the meantime I’m icing it and resting( you know at the busiest time of year)
Hmmmm that's sounds like maybe it will help let me know .
It would be great as we are just getting home from camping in a cabin and the beds were rock hard and flat 😳😳.
I need my foo foo mattress. ❤️
Merry Christmas
I will definitely keep you posted.
Have a Merry Christmas 🎄
Yes I have endured rib pain for many years, even prior to my osteoporosis diagnosis in 2020. I do suffer from costochondritis (popping the cartilage) and slipping rib syndrome…in my left rib so I’m somewhat careful as to not have much pressure on my rib cage. I’m very active, but even swinging a golf club and hitting the ground hard, will bring on severe pain that can last for weeks. I don’t know if osteoporosis is the cause, but regardless, it’s a painful situation when it occurs. When I have a massage, I always ask my masseuse to do light massages so as not to exacerbate my rib issues. We just have to be a little more cautious when exerting any pressure on our ribs.
I’m sorry that you experience the same thing as I do. It’s definitely debilitating at times. I’m going through it now with both sides.. I am now going through laser treatments which seem to be helping.. I like you try to be very careful. I don’t like not doing nothing. I enjoy working outside in the summer. The fact that this has been going on for years and I just started evenity shots they tell me it doesn’t have anything to do with my osteoporosis.. it’s weak cartlidge… after I heal I will doing injections to help the cartilage.. they do a block so I would be numb, thank goodness, and then with the help of an ultrasound they can locate the weak areas or tears.. then they do an injection. You have to lay flat for that and right now that’s not happening… I thought maybe I had what you had but both have been ruled out.
@mathompson, do you know what will be in those injections? Did you have ultrasound elastcography? Thanks.
No I don’t but when the time comes to get it done I’ll let you know.. they just started talking about doing them to me so I have to get more details…
