Leaky gut?
Hello, I’m hoping to connect with others who may be able to Help with some answers with what I’m dealing with. I have fibromyalgia and am gluten intolerant. I also have eczema that has spread over different parts of my body. My dr prescribed a steroid to help with the eczema, however I am extremely itchy with a rash on arms
Legs torso. Dr thinks it’s all related but I’m not sure
I have had bouts with heart burn s d constipation/diarrhea. I’ve been reading up about leaky gut syndrome and think I have many of
The symptoms. Any tips as to how I can go about this would be appreciated. I’m in the ER now because of severe fatigue feeling faint s d shallow breathing.

How much and how often? Do you ever get you cholesterol checked? If so has it affected it? Some of us have problems with motility not what we eat or how much we move or drink. Not sure if it would work alone for someone like me? I’m on Linzess every am to promote peristalsis and also take Magnesium and miralax every pm and drink all day and do all the right things.
I use the gel from the Alo Vera plant. Since it’s bitter, I made a tablet from the get and freeze it which makes easy to swallow. It has made a big difference. It can’t hurt you. Buy a large leaf sold in the supermarket.
@quinosnora how do you make the tablet? What is “get and freeze it”?
I have had the same problem as you. I am on opioids for back pain and do the following: every night have 3 capfuls of miraliax; followed by three tablets of RELISTOR, a prescription medicine for opioid induced constipation. that is the only thing that works for me at this moment in my long digestive journey. Relistor belongs to a class of drugs called PAMORA, something you might want to google. I don't know if people who are not on opioids will qualify for this scrip but it sure worked for me.
In addition I have had a chronic motility problem for decades, and when things get bad, I go to a responsible colonics therapist, who is also an RN, so she knows when a person's condition would not be compatible with colonics. That procedure will provide relief for even the worst cases, provided you qualify, your practitioner is responsible and you can afford it. Regretfully insurance does not cover it
I feel for you and wish you the best!
to continue my own comment above (shh418), when I say chronic motility problem, my ability to eliminate shut down many years ago, due to overuse of laxatives, specifically a pill that has been taken off the market called "correctol", which had a harsh chemical in it. due to this shutdown, I have had to rely on enemas for decades. In addition, I had surgery where a machine called an interstim -- a colon stimulator -- was surgically installed in my lower torso; it eliminated the need for enemas for awhile but eventually stopped working. so I've been thru a lot with this issue and am offering these suggestions in the hopes that you will find relief. for temporary relief, colonics is a sure hit, providing you are able to handle it. so I would google around for qualified colonics therapists in your area and see if it is an option. then go once a week if you can afford it, until a better solution arises. all the best to you!
I am sorry your experience was bad with his supplement, but I find it the best. Please let me know if you have any questions. He is an incredible Doctor devoted to help patients. Thank you for reading this.
I eat polenta every time I have the slightest digestion problem but I grew up with it and make it myself. Fermented veg (which I also make myself) seem to help, as well. Good luck, it must be terrible for you.
I’ve used his leaky gut diet for two years now and feel I have a much better handle on my gut issues. It’s a bit restrictive for me as I am also dairy free and shellfish free so instead of focusing on what not to eat I focus on what I can eat. I do not use his supplements
His products do not work. I've tried them for my stomach issues.
For years I had your problem including irritable bowl and my medicine was making me irritable and finally listened to my Dr and changed my diet but the on single thing I changed was my breakfast
I mix moms best spoon size agree shredded wheat no sugar coating plus All Bran sometimes moms Raisin Bran and I switched out sugar for a low or no sugar protein powder and I’ve been doing this for 30 years nite it took awhile but if I use this 5 times a week no more problem when I travel I use a large ziplock bag and my cereal goes with me
It’s not going to work right away but you have to give it time now I go sometimes twice in the morning and problem solved
I am careful not to use other brands shredded wheat even with no sugar coating since they still contain lots of sugar
My daughter travels for work and she started the same breakfast and solved her problems also
Good luck
