Mysterious shortness of breath: What has helped you?

@meattruck

so it's been awhile since i've posted. spent the last year seeing two different pulminary doctors. i've had a thorough ct scan of my chest and a bronchial provocation test done. both came back with zero issues. my cardiologist (previous reply, had a cardiac arrest almost 4 years ago) said my echo-cardiogram looked good and couldn't see why there would be an issue with my "breathing". now my pulmonary doc wants to pass me off to psyche. she told me when i met her she understood what air hunger is but after those 2 tests she is passing me off to someone else.
I guess my questions are has anyone with this air hunger sensation (constantly feeling like you need a deep, full breath...lots of yawning to achieve) found any solid reasons for this occurring? i mean i've heard everything from anxiety (which it's not, though it can cause me some), long covid, undetectable heart disease, etc. i realize i am looking for a tangible solution here and a lot of you have learned to live with it, and i'm by no means saying anyone has given up by learning breathing techniques and such, i am not ready to stop looking for an answer. i have no idea what the next step would be if this second pulmonary doctor (1st one didn't do anything) is done trying to help me. thanks

@meattruck I’m going through something similar right now…
I just had echo cardiograph , and stress test this week. If my heart isn’t my problem, I’m going to my kidney doctor because some of the symptoms I am having also relate to kidney problems. Then I will go to my Pulmonologist.

I’m having shortness of breath, swollen feet, extreme fatigue, metallic taste especially after bending over, and pressure on my chest.
I already have dementia so my brain is foggy.

I won’t know anything about the heart tests until middle of January. If the heart is good, off I go to the kidney doc.
