True story. Just happened yesterday.

My wife and I were at a nature center.
They have a corn snake as a kind of mascot.
The snake's name is Phoenix, though that is not relevant to the story.

The center's naturalist explained that to feed the snake, they give him frozen dead mice (allowed to thaw before feeding).

I asked..."So, do you call them ... [wait for it] ... mice-cicles?"

The people in attendance chuckled, and the naturalist said, "No, but we probably should."

I bet they will now!

(I was going to post a photo of Phoenix and me getting acquainted, but I know a lot of people are phobic about snakes.)
