Hi, @kidneybean1. I am a liver and kidney recipient, not due to PKD or PLD. I will be taking antirejection medications for the rest of my life, and have done so for the past 15 years since my transplant. I am currently monitored with blood labs every 3 months, and that is how often I was monitored before my transplant. So. I am guessing (as a patient) that 3 months is a typical guideline for checking labs. I also know that pain can be a sign of infection, and that is my concern for you.
Have you been taking Xeralto and Valsartan for a period of time or are these new prescriptions for you? Sometimes, a new medication can affect the liver levels in a blood test. Have they discussed that as a possibility?
