I don't know where we stand today. I had to call 911 as he had stroke symptoms. A lot of EMTs came, evaluated him and then took him to St Joseph's Emergency Room. He was given medication to break up any clots. He'll be there at least over night. Needless to say that this is another setback. I absolutely need to get him to the ostomy clinic to discuss the weight loss. Sorry to download on you, but I'm so upset. Laura

Goodness, don’t be sorry! You are both dealing with multiple issues here. Please let us know after he’s home and what his diagnosis is; besides the weight loss and ileostomy!! Which should be more than enough to deal with as a couple! God bless you both! 🙏💕

Oh no! While you are in the hospital, explain Bill's situation and request a gastroenterologist and/or a colorectal surgeon for the weight loss and a Wound Care Nurse for the management of his ileostomy. I wish you all good things.

Oh my Laura,
This is a good site to vent/download when you are at worries, don't hesitate to post.
Many of us have been there.
Sounds like you live in a good area that has good medical resources.
Not like us, we need to travel 2 to 3 hrs.
Take care and prayers to you both--keep us updated.

He spent a day in the hospital and the staff was not able to provide a colorectal doctor? That would make me very upset.
