Do you get injections only when your doctor (their techs actually - they do the tests) detects fluid in the retina and/or leaking?

I haven't gotten any injections in three years - not since the first three injections, after which I guess no fluid was noted.

That's great! I read that that is possible, but my RS has advised against extending the shots that long. My next appointment will be 5 months since my last shot. I extend an additional month each time (against his advice).
