anel, my legs kept aching, really bad, so I went to my doctor and he thought I had bursitis in my hips. I ended up having xrays, and then an MRI, and it showed I had severe osteoarthritis in my left hip. Had steroid shots, but didn't help at all. Sports doctor prescribed me Meloxicam (which didn't help) and then prescribed me Diclofenac, which also didn't help my pain. I had to wait a couple of months to get in to see a orthopedic surgeon. So since nothing they prescribed me helped my pain, I started taking 3900mg of Arthritis strength Tylenol and 1800mg of Ibuprofen daily. Split up into 3 doses a day. It helped quite a bit....but I still had pain and pretty bad pain on some days. I was a daily walker and I got to the point that I couldn't do my walks anymore. I was limping pretty bad. Saw the surgeon in mid July and he suggested a total hip replacement of my left hip. My right hip was fine. It was only mildly arthritic. I knew I had to have the surgery. My surgeon assured me that I would be happy after having the surgery. It would give me my life back..... and he was RIGHT!! It's only been 8 weeks now since the surgery on Oct. 7, and I'm walking normal with NO PAIN AT ALL!! I was walking up stairs on day 1!! It's just such a amazing new way of doing this surgery. It's called Anterior hip replacement surgery. I am SO HAPPY!! It's just like there was nothing ever wrong. I feel like I got a new leg! What I got was a brand new Titanium hip!! And it's AMAZING!!
