Hi @sennep, I just wanted to followup with you to see how you’re doing. Did you have your BMBX Oct 28th?
You mentioned having the FLT3 mutation, which can be a real bugaboo in the treatment of AML. I had 3 mutations, including the FLT3.
There is a targeted med for FLT3 that I had to take for the 3 weeks between the cytarabine/idarubicine cycles. Has your doctor suggested midostaurin (RYDAPT ?

Thank you for following up with me! I have been telling my story on caringbridge.org (Graham Sullivan, my site shows a pic of my family). I was scheduled to enter the hospital on Nov 8 but got a phone call from my hematologist saying NYU Langone and MSK disagreed on my diagnosis. My biopsies finally got sent to the NIH last week for review. So I have been limbo but making the best of it with some travel. I feel fine and my bloodwork suggests the chemo has been working to eliminate my myeloblasts. My specific FLT3 mutation is considered benign “Tier 3” fortunately (details below). I have no other mutations identified even after an extensive genetic test by MSK. Hopefully we will hear from the NIH next week. 🤞
Best
Graham
