Hi I have just been diagnosed I am from Ireland Mog plus breast cancer. I couldn’t walk but am now back walking slightly off gait I can deal with that was in hospital for days without any treatment. Until I reached SVUH they saved my life with giving me three day high strength steroids no other symptoms. Nervous for relapse

@becksken24 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! I’m glad you found this site. This is an old discussion so some members may not be active , but I know current members will come to the discussion and offer their help!
The high dose steroids are the main way that treatment is started. I, also, got the high dose steroids and then started on daily prednisone. It is a painfully slow process but you will do better. The doctors are taking time to see how they can effectively treat both MOG and breast cancer.
