Has anyone used the Marodyne device to stimulate bone growth?

You stand on it twice a day for 10 minutes. It gently vibrates and also helps with improving balance. The Marodyne is made in Germany and costs about $3,000. It has not been FDA approved but there are studies in progress.

Does anyone know how Marodyne compares to Osteoboost? That is a new vibration belt that was FDA approved in the US for osteoporosis after a clinical trial.

I'm anxious to hear; have you had a Dexa scan since using your Marodyne for a year? Please share your results with us! Thank you so much; and praying that your scores have improved for you!!

Thank you very much! Would there be any downside in the future if I bought one in Canada; like if I need support?

Hello, I have used Marodyne for more than 1 year. Got it from Germany. My DEXA scan became worse (spine from -2,5 to 3,00), and I did a lot of exercise, walking, and taking 800mg calcium vit.D, K, Mg, collagen. So, I stopped to use it.
A week ago I have read in the book "Better bones" by McCormick that he also used for 1 year and then stopped.

Thank you Melia, for your reply. I'm so sorry that the Marodyne didn't help you! That is so sad! I'm sure you're very disappointed! I think I will hold off buying one until I hear more reports on it. The results don't seem to be consistent and I have no idea why they aren't. But I really appreciate your reply. I recently had a bicycle crash and fractured my hip and didn't know it (because it didn't show on the x-rays). for 3 months! But probably because I have been in physical therapy for 10 weeks I can now walk without pain and apparently my hip is healing. My Orthopedic surgeon was really shocked that I wasn't coming in his office on crutches so he advised me that we give it another month and repeat the MRI to see if it is healing. So I may not need surgery, which I'm SO thankful for. After I get through this ordeal though I am going to start some serious weight training and resistance training. I have begun taking Garden of life Grow Bone formula again. I have had good success with it in the past and don't know why I quit taking it. But never again! Have you tried anything like that?
Again, thank you for your reply!

We haven't had any issues with the Marodyne while in use. One time, out of thousands of uses, it didn't seem to want to start when I got on but toggling the power on and off reset it.

To be clear, the data don't support Marodyne as a stand-alone (pardon the pun) solution to OP. If you can afford it, I would recommend meeting with Dr. Keith McCormick to discuss your case. Both my husband and I had OP and we both meet with Dr. McCormick. I reversed my osteoporosis in one year without taking a bisphosphonate or an anabolic, even Dr. McCormick was surprised by my results! My husband also had substantiative improvement in one year. Marodyne is only one element in our regimes.

Good luck to you!

Hey Christy,
I just got one from the sale that's on now, since I read a few good stories on it, and I'll give Dr. McCormick a shout too. Just a little worried now though about the purchase after reading on another post that he stopped using the Marodyne after a year...I hope it wasn't that he had any negative results! Do you know why he stopped? Many thanks, Lisa

That is wonderful!!! Please let us know here on this forum, when you get your Dexa results! Do you still run? I'm going to take up serious walking too. I had a bicycle crash 3 months ago and fractured my hip; didn't know it until an MRI last week. But it is healing and I'm hoping not to need surgery. I'm thinking walking may be best at least until I get my bones built-up. This is so promising! I love hearing real stories about Marodyne! Thanks again!

Hi Carrie, best wishes in healing 🙂 And here's a great video you may like with a powerful Marodyne testinony, though she did other things too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEeNdEGjKcM

Hey Lisa,
I just re-read the section in Great Bones. Dr. McCormick used a prototype machine over 20 years ago and although he was compliant, using it for 20 minutes each day, it didn't improve his DEXA scores so he stopped using it.

Side note: we switched from a VibePlate to a Marodyne because the Marodyne didn't have contraindications and the VibePlate did.
