Has anyone had any experience with the inhaler Anoro ellipta?

I take Robitussin DM 20ml twice a day. It dries up mucus & helps me to easily cough up phlegm.

Robitussin DM has 2 meds in it - Dextromethorphan and Guaifenesin. The Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant and the Guaifenesin is an expectorant. The Guaifenesin doesn't dry up mucus, it actually thins and loosens the mucus by moisturizing it. This makes it less bothersome to you and makes it easier to cough it out. If you don't need the cough suppressant or just want to avoid it you can get Guaifenesin alone in several forms like tablets, capsules, etc. It is MUCH cheaper that way compared to cough syrup.

@jfperrone- Good morning. There are several new inhalers with the term Elipta. I use Trelegy Ellipta (fluticasone, umeclidinium, and vilanterol), which is used to treat COPD. It has made a huge difference in my breathing.

I scanned your profile but didn't see that you used inhalers. Do you also have asthma? The link below will explain all of the new inhalers.

Why do you need an inhaler?

I had been on Anora for 4-5 years and I feel it worked well. After having several weeks of a raw/burning feeling across my upper chest underneath my neck I was put on Trelegy. After taking it for one week I started getting hoarse (and a laryngitis type effect). It's been exactly three weeks today since I started Trelegy and two weeks now with this feeling. Can I switch back to Anora overnight? My Pulmonologist is out of town until July 5th for the 4th of July holiday. My COPD isn't real bad & my lungs are fine with little coughing and no coughing up sputum. I make sure I brush my mouth & tongue and rinse several times after inhaling the Trelegy in the morning. Thank you. gjb 6/30/22
