I think you should have a talk with your doctor.
I have been on Eliquis 2 times a day since my open heart surgery in 2018, I hope you are taking your Eliquis as directed by your doctor.
My last visit with my doctor he still wanted me to go back to the atorvastatin and I told him that I would not after my falls and reading the side effects of that med. I was on atorvastatin for many years but at a certain age the side effects seemed to be more dangerous for me than staying on that. Atorvastatin has less side effects for men but it explains why many men have leg cramps and less issues than women using atorvastatin.
Like other meds people have different effects , some people never have side effects no matter what they take.
Please google atorvastatin and women ........it is very interesting.
BUT, please talk with your doctor.
And.....the Eliquis has to be taken at the same times. Don't take it upon yourself to change when you take your Eliquis.
The problem is the atorvastatin!

Thank you for your quick response and taking the time to send this update. Per the Eliquis -- I have been taking it for several years now and grateful to have it. I do take it in the AM and PM about 12 hours apart. There's been an MD change since it was prescribed but I do stay in contact with the MDs on these issues. Your advice to do so was spot on! However my current MD seems to take a more casual approach on these issues. My issue with the lightheadedness with Eliquis in the AMs has not been on going ... current focus is the Atorvastatin for several recent issues per that lately. Will check out the factors with women after I send this . And again thank you for the quick reply, the referral to more information and your concern.

I did check those options per atorvastatin per women including the Mayo site. Very valuable and very much appreciated. My "preferred provider" gave me an RX for a lower dose .. also as recommended in a recent hospital visit that identified that as a potential issue. Seeing a new specialist late this week whose office is in far closer proximity to me. Timing is excellent -- again thanks!
