Has anyone had lung metastases?

Posted by gamaryanne @gamaryanne, Nov 12 6:28am

My CT scan report notes two modules in my right lobe “suspicious for….”

A small one had been seen in the past and then disappeared. This morning I read there are now 2.

I am interested to know how you may have been treated for this type of metastases. I will have a current CA19-9 result in a few days and now may ask to run the Signatera test as well.
Your thoughts and insights appreciated!

@jefarrell

I have five nodules between both lungs. I been going through chemo since January 24 and everything is stable in the lungs. I was receiving two drugs, gemcitabine and Adriamycin (G&A). While under the process my 19-9 decreased to a low of 19. Due to side effects the G had to be stopped, that was about 6 weeks ago. Since then, my 19-9 is now 154. I had a procedure done to put a stent into the valve of the pancreas the thought was the blockage was causing my bouts with pancreatitis. While the doctor was doing the procedure he found a 3cm tumor in the pancreas. I need to say I had a full Whipple 5 years ago. I'm asking has anyone found themselves in this position.

@gamaryanne, the Whipple procedure involves removing the head of the pancreas, the first part of the small intestine, the gallbladder and the bile duct.

I'm sorry to hear that gemcitabine was not tolerable and that a new lesion in the pancreas was found. Was the new tumor found in the tail of the pancreas? What next steps are being suggested for you?
