The dr. Said everything looks perfect and he doesn’t have to go back for a year and that they will do a ct scan. Something tells me that this isn’t right but I am not a doctor, what’s your thoughts?

Hi @stovepipe07, It's hard to just take what a doctor says, and accept it, when you don't understand the reasoning behind it. Knowing the 'why' often helps me. I had a recent example of this. My oncologist wanted me to stop taking a medication a few days prior to a surgery. Everything that I had read said that there is no reason to stop the med for surgeries. Asking him why helped me to understand his reasoning. His fear was that if something went wrong with the surgery, there was one less factor in the mix. They couldn't blame any issues on the medication in my system. This made sense to me, so I held the medication for a few days.
Were you able to ask the doctor why he thought a year was an ok timeline? Are you able to ask him if your husband could have the CT in 6 or even 3 months? Is your husband feeling uneasy with this plan of waiting a year, or is he indifferent to the plan?
