Happy Thanksgiving! We are at Mayp Clinic ready to check out today. My husband had a radical nephrectomy Monday to remove a very large tumor. He did have a biopsy about seven weeks ago on his 10 cm tumor because it was suspicious but not a typical cancer response from the CT. The tumor came back as Papillary Renal cancer. My husband did have bleeding complications after the biopsy. He has bilateral cancer so they wanted to be sure it was cancer before taking the kidney.
