Garlic tea would not be sufficiently strong to affect a lung infection. Tests using garlic (specifically on TB ) have shown a great deal of the active ingredient allicin needs to be inhaled to be effective. As of now there is no way to mesure a safe dose and deliver it without damaging delicate lung tissue.

Thank you for the response and links. I’m pretty new to the site—and a longtime survivor of severe TB contracted at age 19 in India.
