Hi, Lia. How do I contact @harveym @thompsonm @lioness @rafaelquinones @artscartscaping @baz123.? My nephew currently has a trainer who comes to his home & has virtual speech therapy. He's able to walk with a single cane and is working on his gait. He can eat, talk, and communicate pretty well. He would like to do as much as possible to continue his improvement; i.e., can't use his left arm, hand & has left neglect. I saw a segment on CBS Sunday morning about hyperbaric oxygen treatment. I did some research & he thinks it's worth trying if he can get approval from his physiatrist. I told him about "the puzzle man" saying ping pong helped him although he played it regularly before his stroke. Flint rehab has specific tools. Does anyone know if they're worthwhile?

Hi, @mlg2733 - I'd imagine your nephew's experience having a hemorrhagic stroke on a vacation in Bora Bora has been a huge surprise and a truly challenging turn of events.

I tagged, or mentioned, the Mayo Clinic Connect members you inquired about with their usernames so they're aware of your question about hyperbaric oxygen and whether that therapy can be useful following a stroke or any other condition.

Others on Mayo Clinic Connect who've talked about hemorrhagic stroke and may have thoughts on the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to boost recovery include @zerodas @raye @ken82 @jessica79.

mlg2733—You mentioned your nephew has done virtual speech therapy and has a trainer coming to his home. Are you looking into hyperbaric oxygen therapy to improve the use of his left arm and hand, and to help with the left neglect/hemispatial neglect? What are your nephew's thoughts about talking to his physiatrist about this therapy and whether it can be approved?
