Specialist in New England

Looking for a recommendation for specialist in my area. I live in Maine. I noticed that Mass General in Boston has both a bronchiectasis program & MAC. If I have both which should I choose?

Good morning. My appointment at Mass General Brigham Womens is not until December 23rd. I am seeing Dr. Manuela Cernadas who is board certified in pulmonary disease, internal medicine and critical care. I just don't know what to expect after reading what people experience at NJH. I feel like my appointment is a consultation and where goes from there I don't know. Where is your appointment on Tuesday? In Maine?

I have been seeing Dr Cernadas for 18 months.
She has a pleasant manner and is knowledgable
I was post treatment for MAC so no major crises yet
Re Mass general, both Christopher Richards pulmonary and Rocio Hurtado infectious disease are excellent

Yes, the nebulizing and vest are working well.

He has not ordered the vest for me yet. What brand did you get and did it take a long time to get your insurance to approve?

OK, thank you for all your info. He is ordering a vest for me. I’ll see someone else in the practice in six months. I did not get a referral at this time to Boston. He thought I should try the vest first.

I am in Rhode Island and saw Dr. Cernadas for the first time in September. She is very thorough. She has been good about contacting me about test results and also explaining them. You will not regret making the trip from Maine to see her.
