@shordae, it sounds like you have taken the right steps to seek an appointment at Mayo Clinic. There are different reasons that someone may not get an appointment. It's possible that the physician experts have reviewed your case with their colleagues and their review led them to determine that Mayo Clinic cannot offer any further treatment for you at this time. Mayo Clinic does not want to have you incur additional costs for evaluation or travel if the physician team does not feel they can offer care that is different from what you’re already receiving.
Depending on which department you are seeking an appointment, it is possible that the department does not have the capacity to take on new patients at this time. Mayo Clinic has more requests for appointments than available openings in some departments.
