Scanxiety?
Routine blood work showed high levels (first time ever) of Alkaline Phosphate so they ordered another blood test a few months later and even though the levels went down they were still high. Next step was a ultrasound where the Dr said he sees a mass and it's possibly cancer.
I scheduled my CT Scan for next week and been stressing out the last 48 hours. I've had many MRIs but never a CT Scan. I'm stressing about the test and results..
Thanks

A CT scan is no big deal. Usually the give you the huge drink.. not tasty but tolerable. Wait. Then you get an iv line while lying in the ct scan table. Then you get the scan. Pretty quick test. No need to be apprehensive about that procedure. Wishing you the best results.
After waiting 45 minutes for the barium liquid (building is going through a computer upgrade) they told me I don't need one. From everyone I've talked to, read and what you are saying that CT scan is much easier than an MRI.. Okay well now I'll just stress out about the results 😂. As I said that I remember telling many people "why stress over something that hasn't happened yet".
Answer is I know my body and I know something ain't right.
@shorthairptr66, any update? How are you doing?
Original CT Scan was cancelled (no clue why) so I called my dr and asked to send the script to a different lab. My new scan is this Tuesday. I'm not worried about the test I'm obviously worried about the results. I'm losing weight and the only answer can be is cancer..
I'll keep you posted ... Thanks
Ct Scan showed Cholangiocarcinoma and a 2½" mass. Next appointment is with the oncologist surgeon. Let's just say I'm starting to get my affairs in order..
Liver transplant possible?
I'll find out after talking with surgeon
