Has anyone used the Marodyne device to stimulate bone growth?
You stand on it twice a day for 10 minutes. It gently vibrates and also helps with improving balance. The Marodyne is made in Germany and costs about $3,000. It has not been FDA approved but there are studies in progress.

Did you use anything else to improve your bones, like vitamins, exercise, HRT?
@fluffbun, Hey there, my case is a bit simpler as I lost a lot of bone in the time period I was doing Marodyne. So there is no question for me about what helped unless you want to theorize that I would have lost even more without it. That is of course possible but the simple view is I did Marodyne and heel drops as employed in a Chinese study for one year and I lost a lot. So for me I said "forget these two and on to the next thing". I do still follow the news about the Marodyne and vibration just in case there is some compelling evidence to make me rethink the matter and try again.
Was there any medical reason for your bone loss? Thyroid problems, cancer drugs? Early menopause? . I understand what yo say about Marodyne. I also take HRT and if I had to chose between HRT or Marodyne there is no doubt which one I would keep. What are you taking now?
Just don't get one of the high-intensity vibration plates. As you can see from the info on Margaret Martin's website, they're dangerous unlike the Liv ones.
Be careful--as you can see on Margaret Martin's site, Mellio.com, high intensity cheaper ones are very dangerous for the brain, eyes, etc. So I may splurge and buy the Marodyne or get nothing!
Great! How do you like it? That's my T score for my spine 🙁 Are you taking any drugs too for osteo?
The company that sells the marodyne liv plate accepts CareCredit, so you can finance it with no interest, which makes it slightly less painful. I got mine 3 months ago, and have been using it in addition to my waterfit class, personal trainer to work on strengthening the muscles in my back and hips to support the bones, and incorporating more protein into my diet. I am also taking the collagen powder by AlgaeCal, as it contains not only the fortibone, but fortigel and verisol, which are all patented products of Gelita. I also ordered the collagen Dr. McCormick sells, though it only contains the fortibone. I am opposed to the drugs no one can afford due to the dangerous side effects. Plus they only "work" for as long as you take them, so I feel it's better to try the natural approach which is better for your overall long term health anyway. With the drugs, it's kind of a roulette as to what you're going to die from - bone break vs heart attack, stroke or breast cancer.
I am still using my Maryodyne. Now 3 times a day for 10 minutes. I am not sure how I like it. I hope using the Marodyne is improving my bone health, but I do not know. I am doing many other things also. My osteoporosis doctor uses another facility for Dexas than the one I previously used and measured my spine at -4.5. Since then I have had 2 scans at my doctor's facility and my spine T score was -3.8 last year and -3.9 this year. I am still lifting weights, consuming protein, collagen, eating natto, taking quality supplements, but no osteoporosis drugs, no HRT and no strontium. My CTX score improved from 2023 to 2024. My next blood work will be in April 2025. I have had no fratures and feel like I am a very healthy 72 year old.
Or, most likely, you won't die from any of those things.
I have a LIV vibration plate from BC Vibrant Health -- right now there is a sale (I am not promoting this, just providing info). This LIV is MUCH less expensive than Marodyne. I am not a daily user and have not had a DEXA since I started using it, so I don't know if it has helped. My bone doc said the high intensity plates are too dangerous for people like me who have already have fragility fractures, but he thought the LIV couldn't hurt, maybe could help. I do things like squats with weight on the plate, and other strength exercises.
