TBS in Oregon
Does anyone who lives in Oregon ( or even Washington) know of a facility that can do trabecular bone scans on existing DXAs? My endo has called around with no luck so far.

Wow, this is great. Thank you so much for your help.
Hi, Were you able to find a location for the trabecular bone scan? I am trying to find a place in Oregon or California.
No, I tried to contact every place on the list in Oregon and came up empty. Some of the businesses were no longer there. I called all the ones I could and none of the staff had heard of a trabecular bone scan. They said they only offer DXA. I didn’t try California too hard because it would be a long drive. My endocrinologist in Corvallis has also looked for a place that offers the TBS, and he has not had any luck either.
It was very frustrating.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. Yes, it is very frustrating. I might have found one place in Southern California. Stark Health. I spoke with them and am trying to make an appointment.
I found something that said OHSU but I did not call them.
I wish you the best of luck trying to find it. If I find anything in Oregon I will respond back.
I was just going to mention trying OHSU in Oregon.
Thank you very much. Best of luck to you. I think the company that makes this needs to do more outreach about it.
Yes Chris, I did call them and they did not have this software tool. But thanks!
Please check with Salem Radiology Consultants in Salem Oregon. I had my DEXA in September 2024 and found out that their new machine includes the TBS software. I requested and received that information along with the usual workup. The technician said they decided to buy the software, as a number of doctors had requested it.
Wow, thank you so much. I just called them and confirmed this with them. I really appreciate you giving me this tip.
