Hello - The results I referred to, in my comment, would be as I eliminate as many possible causes, I would let the Mayo Clinic Group know my findings, as I personally experience them. I am dumping the use of plastics in all cooking and storage forms (such as the spatulas, spoons, etc.) and I have ordered a water purifying countertop system from "Berkey Clean Water" to include the add on filters to remove fluoride. I should have have some indication if this is helping my condition, after 4 to 6 months. It may take awhile to get it mostly out of my system. I am doing whatever I can to survive as I continue to get worse.
Get your county water purification reports to see what they say. My county tests after "contaminants" are "removed". The report lists the presence of many still in the water, at various levels, which they consider "safe". This is what they attempt to remove/reduce: (There is also a list of things they do not remove.
A. Microbial contaminants, such as viruses and bacteria, which may come from sewage treatment plants, septic
systems, agricultural livestock operations, and wildlife.
B. Inorganic contaminants, such as salts and metals, which can be naturally occurring or result from urban stormwater
runoff, industrial or domestic wastewater discharges, oil and gas production, mining, or farming.
C. Pesticides and herbicides, which may come from a variety of sources such as agriculture, urban stormwater runoff,
and residential uses.
D. Organic chemical contaminants, including synthetic and volatile organic chemicals, which are by-products of
industrial processes and petroleum production, and can also come from gas stations, urban stormwater runoff, and septic
systems.
E. Radioactive contaminants, which can be naturally occurring or be the result of oil and gas production and mining activities.

THIS IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE: In the news today (NBC), there was this article by the title "Newly identified chemical in drinking water is likely in many homes and could be toxic, study finds". It speaks about a chemical used in water purification called "chloramine" which is a chemical formed by mixing chlorine and ammonia. They use it to kill viruses and it produces the substance “chloronitramide anion". The article stated “It’s a pretty small molecule and it can probably for that reason enter into biological systems and into cells. And it is still a reactive molecule". They say that they have not proven in hard evidence of the danger but are suspicious. They stated that they are worried that it could have toxic properties because of similarities to other chemicals of concern.
My county used Chloramines! It is listed as a water disinfectant in their 2023 report. (I feel like a canary in a coalmine. I think that some of us are very sensitive to chemicals such as this.)
