I have to have infusion of Rituxan for ITP. I’m worried about not getting better. Anyone else have this?

@penn

Becky!! OH NO!!!!
How long do you need to keep the collar on? Hope you will be up and going soon!!!
I'm sick and tired of pain every moment every day of my life. It's very hard to sit especially in a car. That is due to failed Laminectomy and fusion. MRI can't see L-4. L-5 because of the fusion!!! No one knows why sitting is so painful??
Autoimmune Diseases!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where did I get it from? Chemo 1995 Breast Cancer?
Can't win. I couldn't go out today [PAIN!] and I'm feeling so depressed.
Hope your having a better days SOON!!!

@penn. I was able to take off the big, heavy collar last week. Then we had to find a soft collar which I still wear. My goal, everyday, is to do something I like, take a walk, and take a nap. I can never find time for the nap, though!
What do you like to do for a break?

Curious why you think it was the flu shot.

I am having difficulty posting a pic of the product.
If you are interested in the whole read… check out FLUZONE HIGH-DOSE QUADRIVALENT influenza virus vaccine. Go to adverse reactions.. blood and lymphatic system disorders. I had Rituxican… now I am getting once a month a pentadine? Don’t if spelling is correct…very expensive and uncomfortable inhalation… steroid for keeping lungs clear.

Hi, how long have you had ITP? Have you ever taken Rituxan? If so, did it help you at all? I had my first infusion today. I’m glad you have found something to work for you, I’m going to look up that drug.

I have been an ITP patient since 2015, so it's been 9 years already. I don't know Rituxan, but my experience with immunosupressants hasn't been that good. I just spent a week at the hospital because my platelet count was so low, once again. This time I was treated at the ICU. So now I'm on Eltrombopag, and also on prednisone, at least while this episode gets managed :/

I'm so sorry you were back in the hospital. That is just miserable and expensive. Can I ask how low your platelets were for them to hospitalize you? The hospitalists will only discharge my daughter when she is over 20, and only if she's not bleeding. It's a vicious cycle right now of building up platelets only to be discharged and watch them plummet again.
