A patch of marigolds against a west-facing foundation of my house is still in full bloom in late November in Ontario, Canada (!!!). Those are unneeded seedlings that I didn't have the heart to throw out, so I put them in a bit of empty dirt. We've had several frosts (including a couple of deep ones), but they don't seem to mind.
