Are you referring to the maddox rod effect? I was told that is the name for the positive dysphotopsia I experience following my cataract surgery. Basically a diagonal ray of light on either side of a light source mostly seen at night. I was told this is caused by a wrinkle in the posterior capsure and the only treatment was with yag laser. Is vitrectomy an alternative treatment?
