Muscle enzymes (CK and aldolase) can be checked in blood to show muscle damage caused by statins. This can be a serious side effect! I am on Repatha injections twice a month and it has cut my cholesterol in half! Very effective if you end up on that. Expensive but the PAN Foundation has a patient assistance program that puts copayments to zero if you qualify.

@slkanowitz do you have to inject the Repatha yourself, or does your doctor do it? I wonder if a pharmacist would do it … I hate self injecting!
