Has anyone heard of Wellen Exercise for Osteoporosis & osteopenia?
Has anyone heard of Wellen? It's an exercise program for osteoporosis and osteopenia. I'm not sure what they do because there is no video to show an example.

I wish they would come to Florida. Hoping...
@rola, Yes, I use Wellen. I like it especially if when just getting started. It's calm, feels safe, is well explained and well demonstrated. I have come to prefer Lisa Moore, DPT on YouTube. I like her exercises better as they are more challenging. She is starting to do longer workouts which I also really like. Check her out.

Thank you so much for the information and link. I will definitely look into Lisa Moore's YouTube. 🥰
Hi @baqbs10,
I just checked out and did one Brick House Bones Workout - really good! Thank you.
I'm going to add these to Dr. Loren Fishman's "12 Poses vs Osteoporosis."
I’ve used Wellen and like it a lot.. supplement with walking. It adjusts to your level and exercises can be modified Reasonable price.
I know this is an older post, but I learned not all of those Dr Fishman yoga poses are safe for osteoporosis. Margaret Martin, PT and osteoporosis expert as well as certified yoga teacher, discusses the flaws in his study and provides info in a book she wrote about yoga and osteoporosis. She also has an excellent website with lots of free info and exercises.
@alphabet Right but Margaret is a PT and he's an MD? I seriously don't know who to trust at this point. Who do we believe. i.e. Stomping - good? bad? I've heard both sides. For me, it's very confusing, and they got a very late start with osteoporosis and knowing what to advise we who have it. There are doctors who say the weighted vests are good and then the ones who say they are bad.
My PT emphatically did NOT recommend Dr. Fishman’s yoga poses, and she is a specialist in spinal health. My functional OB/GYN did NOT encourage me to buy a weighted vest. I have been a Wellen user for the better part of a year, and find it sometimes a bit boring/repetitive, but reasonably priced, and eminently doable and helpful. I used it as part of a successful regimen to turn around my osteoporosis diagnosis.
Hi @alphabet, thank you for your post.
I'm familiar with Margaret Martin and I did see her critique of Dr. Fishman's 12 Poses.
For me, it was a matter of deciding who was more credible and I opted for Dr. Fishman.
I've been doing 12 Poses for a few years with no problems. If I don't like how a pose feels, I substitute a different one.
Here's a link to Dr. Fishman's credentials, if you're interested:

Take care, and thank you again.
