I had 1st diverticulitis episode 6 years ago with slight perforation that repaired itself but ER doc admitted me, 3 nights in hospital. Just had 2nd episode with lower ab pain and knew it wasn't stomach bug as very low pain off/on...so called doc, saw, examined me and based on my history prescribed the 2 meds. So now I'm 3 days wo food just little sips water, little herbal tea. Was eating half delicious English muffin w pb but googled no whole wheat which was my em, so stopped eating it. Confused on what to eat. Any pointers...I spend too much time researching?! I thought I was out of the woods!

The science / research on it is so confusing and contradictory but I don't think a high fiber diet couldn't hurt. I've been taking more fiber since surgery and I am better than I've been in years. And lots of water.
