For those who have severe LC, would you want the new vaccine?

Absolutely no, my LC was caused by my first and last booster in November 2021

No. I've had such bad reactions to the vaccines thus far that my doctor advised against it for my own particular case this year. I had a lot of misgiving about that, but my vax reactions were so debilitating that he felt that he could manage covid symptoms better than vaccine reaction. It is the first time I haven't taken the vaccine, but I seem not to tolerate it. I had the original variant and still dealing with lots of issues and the vaccine exacerbated my symptoms. I am an older RN, I've had Covid 4 times, once concurrently with the flu. The first two bouts without the vaccine or Paxlovid almost killed me. The last two times were after every booster I could get, Paxlovid in the early window, kept me out of the hospital and off a ventilator, much better. That said, this last bout in August, I am having more trouble with names, and Covid really weakens me. I do know one person who cannot tolerate the vaccine, but I will get my new booster as soon as the 3 months post-Covid are over. The vaccine is safer for me than the disease. My beloved brother died in 2020 of Covid pneumonia/stroke.

I've had Pfizer with no problems unless it could have caused A-Fib 6 weeks later which put me in the hospital. I would think that if it was related it would have been sooner. I already was incubating Covid when I got the shot. I am about to get the flu shot and expect to get the Covid shot about 1 week after. Still debating...

@klf58 My Doctors also recommended against it. They seem to just roll with the cause and affect lacking any other factors causing my symptoms. Within weeks of my booster I was experiencing rocking sensation, PEM, and Exercise Intolerance.

When I first received my first vaccine from Covid, I had a metal taste in the back of my throat. A few months later when I caught Covid in December of 2022, I had it mild, but on day 2 lost my taste and smell and I still don’t have it back. I was also diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and Hypothyroidism after I had surgery in April of 2022 to remove a bad part of my colon due to severe diverticulitis. I don’t know if the vaccine started my loss of taste/smell, but my sister and my mother both had the same metal taste in their mouths after the vaccine and they can’t taste or smell either. No doctor has said if this was from the vaccine or not. I don’t think anyone knows at this point, but I’m pretty sure it was the vaccine, so I will not be getting any more of them and my doctor is ok with that.

I got the new vaccine and my symptoms from LPCVS haven't changed.
