How to reduce feeling of anxiety and be happy ?

Posted by sameermalhotra @sameermalhotra, Nov 10 4:13am

Hi, I am in my late twenties and feel tired, worried, sometimes anxious, irregular heart rate, unhappy most of the time. I am unable to get a good sleep and most of the time feel not fresh upon waking up. I feel hot and prefer ac most of the time. I cannot bear heat or hot weather. And I am unable to concentrate and feel headache in normal weather (about 30 degrees Celsius weather). I also feel tingling in my brain.
I discovered lately hot showers calms my brain and it’s tingling.
Any suggestions on how to reduce such symptoms and help to figure out the cause will be much appreciated.
Thank you.

@sameermalhotra, I'm sorry to hear that you have feelings of unhappiness, anxiety and worry hanging over you. I agree with @jc76 that there hope and help to manage these feelings and to look forward to life and living. I encourage you to seek the help of a medical professional.

First you should see your primary care physician so that they can rule out any underlying possible cause. You and your doctor might agree that they arrange a referral to a mental health therapist who specializes in coping with anxiety and depression.

@sameermalhotra, do you have a primary care doctor? That is a good place to start.

I think what you suggested above can really help you. I don't have the resources to be able to get you that information.

I have tagged Colleen (Director of MCC) as she has vast knowledge on this and who and where to find that information. I tried to message her on this reply but there were a lot of Colleens that came up and not sure which one was her. So I tagged it to her. She is outstanding and a ton of knowledge to help.
