Cervical ct myelogram - Questions Please

looks like I will be needing this as a next step (Cervical CT Myelogram)
Basically it is a die spinal tap...my questions are:
> How painful is this? do they give you meds to numb the area?
> Any other info/advice would be very welcomed

Ahh ok thanks a lot! Funny thing is now I am hearing the emg is actually fairly painful…. More so the ct spinal tap…. Ugg. Well at least I will get some answers

I think it's relative to the pain you already have. The pain that sent you for the EMG. I had an EMG and it was nothing. Sometimes the tingle/shock thing startled me but I wouldn't say it was painful and my pain tolerance is very low.
