How Many Guys Have Achieved 100% Erection Baseline?
Talking to the penile therapist today and he said that only about 5% of men, following a prostatectomy with nerve sparing, get back to 100% of their previous erection. He didn't particularly elaborate on what is more common - 90%? 80%? 50%?
That sounds very depressing. Yes, I know there are pills and pumps and injections and implants, but I was far more hopeful as a relatively young man of 54 who has never had even the slightest hint of ED in my life. I can hope to be in the 5% but I cannot count on that.
I know that ED will happen with age anyway for 90% of the men of the world, but I still have many years ahead before that should be a concern, so making it happen early is really messing with me.

Thnx,
But what does ADT stand for and what do those drugs do ??
Androgen deprivation therapy
Removes testosterone from the system so prostate cancer has little to feed upon. Greatly reduces growth of cancer.
Thank you
Short answer, 100% baseline....
I have...but, like statistics and the Bell Curve, I am likely several standard deviations outside ....
I had nerve sparing surgery at the young age of 58.. The only penile recovery therapy (PRT) I did was a daily Cialis of 5mg and masturbation. I did have great baseline function.
It took about 12-18 months to get "full" erections back. It was different, in addition to the visual stimulation, physical stimulation was necessary.
The dry orgasm was different too.
The University of California San Francisco Urology Department has a pretty good PRT "guide."
I am also outside the Bell Curve when it comes to radiation and ADT. My radiologist warned me that SRT could "fry" the nerves. Nope... I've done ADT twice, never lost libido nor erectile function though the genitalia shrinkage is real! Why, my wife asks that question, sigh...
I have taken a daily 5mg Cialis for 10+ years. My medical team each consult ask about side effects, none I say!
So, that's my experience. Will it be yours, uncertain. This forum is replete with folks on the other end of the spectrum. It's also filled with folks who have done more elaborate PRT than I have to achieve like results, or not....
We generally know that sex will be different, albeit possible. Some of that "possible" may lay in re-defining "sex" from just penile penetration. That may not be a bad thing - more foreplay?
Factors, age, skill of surgeon, pre-treatment function, PRT, diet and exercise (maybe?), a partner who is involved (ok, my experience says not absolutely necessary but sure as hell would have been nice).

I lost my nerves on right side during RP in 2018. I still do not have erections. I am wanting to do an experiment using sacral neuromuscular stimulation. Anybody done this? Did it work?
