Wow almost everything you said you have I have the same issues. Constant aching in the left side of my tonsil area but tonsils are removed. Numbness and feels like my throat is pushing in from the numb feeling. Also aching under that side of the tongue and on the side of it as well just leading the numbness to the back of the throat. If I swallow or yawn in a wrong way it feels like my throat pops out of place and hurts until like you said, I move it back and forth gently till it pops into place and feels better. Has been an issue now for 4 yrs. 3 ENTs and a neurologist, with several MRI done. One says tmj damage so I wear a night guard but still numb and achy. One said reflux damage and had no real proof. Neurologist says glossopharyngeal neuralgia and wanted me to take lyrica but I hate prescriptions so havent tried yet plus i have worry of side affects. My anxiety cripples me a lot from the terrible numb feeling. 4 years and no answer 😔
@meghand how do you release the sternocleidomastoids I’ve been getting massages almost weekly since 1998 mine is always tight , they work the front and loosen it up but then working my back and shoulders it tightens up again so I have to flip over and have them work the front again
