Do you always use the saline neb before Vest?

I neb albuterol/sod during my vest treatment. Doctor prescribed this way, Physical Therapist agreed. Works well for me. Good luck.

I have used the vest daily for 6+years. About 2 hours a day minimum. 4-6 hours with exacerbations.

I have a bad case of bronchiectasis and lots of fluid each day.
I also don't have an immune system so even a scratch is a problem. And if the lungs can't be emptied, then infection will happen and I have no way to remedy that.

National Jewish Health, repiratory specialist clinic with BE specialists, indicates .......yes you can use the vest while doing nebulizing of saline solution.

I nebulize 7%saline at the same time as using the SmartVest 2x/day. Some folks here have not found it helpful to do both at the same time but it has worked very well for me.

Hello!
I use the vest after I neb with saline. Some people neb and use the vest together to save time. I only use the vest 15 minutes twice/daily. My BE is mild and dry. In my case it was recommended to get the lungs very "wet" before I use the vest. I am still learning!
