Itchy85, I personally would ask my doctor about taking an antihistamine. Also, there is Benadryl cream for topical itching.

I know this sounds silly, but sometimes, I can itch terribly from simply having dry skin. Curel lotion is phenomenal for dry skin if that is the issue. Do you have a family member or friend that could look at your back?

Thank you for your suggestions and prayers. I'm looking into Benadryl creams, and an oral rout with oxycarbazepin 150 mg tabs. I'm alone w/o any help, and struggle with cream application . I have an appointment with a young dermatologist next week for his input. God bless,
