Leg pain Charlie Horse Sensation?

Posted by saltyg @saltyg, Mar 3, 2023

Has anyone experienced leg pain with PMR that feels like the sensation you have after a Charlie Horse cramp. It lasts for days sometimes?
I am very hydrated so I do not think it is a true cramp that’s just the best way I know how to describe it.

Presuming you have PMR and are taking some amount of prednisone…random cramping is not unusual.
I went through a period between 10 and 5 where I had occasional random cramps in my thumb, index finger, arch of my foot, big toe, and calf.
Now down to 2, and have not had any cramping for months. Good luck.

I had to look up PMR (Polymyalgia rheumatica) so as far as I know I don't have it. I have no pain elsewhere so am thinking that my morning leg exercise at the gym must have damaged a muscle. At least I hope it is just that. It still hurts after 2 weeks when I walk on stairs but little when walking on the flat.

You could try an Electrolyte drink. I use High 5
