Stuck eyelid
I have noticed when I sleep at night -- one eyelid gets stuck shut. The first time it happened, I thought I must have pinkeye but as soon as I get up in the morning, it is totally normal after 30 seconds or so. But if I get up during the night to use the restroom, it stays shut. Has anyone had this happen to them?

Yes… I do. And it’s the eye that I’ve suffered the most with dry eye. It’s a shorter time than you describe your closed eye being stuck; but bothersome. Im trying heat ; there are many choices for warm eye compresses out there. I’m hopeful it will help with the stuck eyelid issue too. I may end up back at the ophthalmologist.

1 ReactionUse an eye ointment before bedtime and if you get up at night and it’s stuck do a warm moist compress to the eye then reapply the ointment. I use Systane preservative free nighttime eye ointment. I also use there eye drops during the day as needed.

4 ReactionsI do on occasion wake up with my eyelid stuck shut. I force push to open my eye then feel the dried mucus. I use the eye wipes & the Systane PF to help with the dryness. Haven't discussed with ophthalmologist yet.
My left eye goes thru periods of the lid staying down but nothing wet or dry on it.
It’s as if I have no control over it.
Been to eye doc , doesn’t find anything as to what causes it.
